What We Do
Our family farm has been supplying friends and family with our home-grown, traceable beef for years. We offer whole, ½ or ¼ sides of beef or high-quality cuts of steaks, roasts, ground beef, briskets, etc. We raise our own alfalfa, brome and silage to feed the cattle. We also graze our cattle on native grass, cover crops and various types of stalks in the winter.

Raised With Care
On our farm ground, we use no-till, minimal-till and conventional till farming practices. We rotate our crops of wheat, soybeans, milo, alfalfa, feed grains and cover-crops. We are increasing our soil organic matter, suppressing weeds and increasing soil moisture. This improves our soil health which improves our crops. We have implemented rotational grazing in many of our pastures. It is an efficient way to get the best use of the pasture and maximize beef production. Our cattle graze 12 months a year and when weather issues come up, they are supplemented with alfalfa, brome hay, and silage. We utilize a cattle nutritionist to provide a balanced feed ration for the cattle. The calves also receive a specific feed ration that includes grain. We feel this is an optimum way to get the desired marbling, tenderness and taste in the beef.
Lloyd and Clara’s willingness to use different farming practices over the years has been the key to the farm’s success!
The use of no-till crops, rotational grazing and cover crops have been very beneficial through even years of drought.
